Sermon Title: The Main Thing
Scripture: Exodus 20:1–4 & Mark 12:28–34
It’s easy for faith to become crowded with activity, opinions, and distractions—even good ones. But throughout Scripture, God continually calls His people back to simplicity and clarity.
In Exodus, we hear the first commandment given to Israel: to put God first above everything else. In Mark, Jesus echoes that same truth when asked which commandment matters most—love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

We are honored to welcome Tamy Elam, founder of Hallel, to lead us in a powerful journey through one of Paul’s most vivid passages on spiritual strength and warfare. Tamy brings a rich heritage of ministry, serving women and children both locally and globally (in Israel, Jordan, England, Northern Africa and Mexico) and committed to deepening the love of Christ through Scripture and prayer.

In this passage, Jesus prays not only for those with Him at that moment, but for all who would come to believe — including us. He asks that we may experience the same unity, love, and joy that He shares with the Father.
Bijan will explore what it means to live as people shaped by this prayer — set apart in truth, yet sent into the world with love and purpose.

This Sunday, we welcome David Allgire as he guides us through a deeply moving encounter between Jesus, a Pharisee, and a woman known only by her reputation and her worship.
In Luke 7:36–50, Jesus reveals what it means to love much because we’ve been forgiven much. As the woman pours perfume on His feet and washes them with her tears, we are invited to consider our own response to the mercy of God.
David will help us reflect on how forgiveness transforms not only our hearts, but also the way we see others… with grace, gratitude, and humility.
