WELCOME

Worship on the Water is a non-denominational Sunday chapel service and outreach ministry based in the heart of Palmetto Bluff. As a registered nonprofit in South Carolina, Friends of Worship on the Water, Inc. receives generous donations from community members. These gifts help us joyfully present and host our weekly chapel services—and also support charitable outreach locally, nationally, and across the globe.

Our mission flows from a simple desire: to glorify God, share the love of Jesus, and serve others wherever He leads.

COME AS YOU ARE

Trust that you and your family are welcome here.

Whether your faith is strong, uncertain, newly sparked, or still searching—you are welcome here.

Our congregation includes full-time and part-time residents of Palmetto Bluff, visitors from near and far, and guests of all ages, from the very young to the young at heart. We love seeing families worship together, and children are always embraced in our services.

You don’t need a perfect background or polished beliefs to belong here. Just come—as you are—and experience a place where grace meets you in every season.

Planted with Purpose

When the Chapel at Palmetto Bluff was first built in the early 2000s, it was designed as a beautiful space for weddings, events, and performances. There was no formal plan to hold religious services—and yet, God had something more in mind.

Through the faith and vision of a few local residents, a simple Sunday service was offered. People began to come. Hearts were stirred. And little by little, Worship on the Water was born—not by design, but by divine direction.

Today, the Chapel overflows with people each Sunday—so much so that we worship both inside and out. Our Easter and Christmas services welcome over 1,000 souls, each drawn by the Spirit to something greater than a manmade building: a movement of God within this community.

As Palmetto Bluff continues to grow, so do the needs of the people. We believe this church was never an accident. It was planted by His hand, at just the right time, to serve His purpose. And we trust Him to guide us forward, step by faithful step.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” —Psalm 127:1

Our Values (Acts 2:41-48)

HUMILITY AND GLORY

We exist to glorify God in everything we believe, say, and do. Exalting Jesus is our deepest desire. We submit to Him as Lord and Savior.

GENEROSITY AND COMPASSION

We give because God gave first. Through our time, talents, and resources, we joyfully meet real needs in others’ lives.

COMMUNITY

We gather because God designed us for connection. Loving, authentic relationships help us thrive—and help us know Him more deeply.

MISSION AND EVANGELISM

We go because God sent His Son—and Jesus sends us. We share His message with our neighbors, our region, and the world.

TRUTH AND INTENTIONALITY

We grow through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the study of God’s Word. As we become more like Christ, we are transformed from the inside out. (Hebrews 4:12–13)
