Easter at Worship on the Water
Speaker: Pastor Cam Huxford
Last Sunday, we gathered on the Boat House Lawn to celebrate Easter at Worship on the Water — a morning marked by beauty, reverence, and joy.
In his Easter message, Pastor Cam walked through the Ten Commandments and brought us face to face with a truth we all must reckon with — that none of us measures up to God’s perfect standard.
The commandments do not simply show us what righteousness looks like. They also reveal how deeply we need a Savior.
Again and again, we were reminded that left to ourselves, we are hopeless sinners — unable to save ourselves, unable to clean ourselves up, and unable to stand before a holy God on our own merit.
And that is what makes Easter such good news.
Jesus did what we could never do for ourselves. He bore our sin, took our place, and overcame death so that all who trust in Him might be forgiven and made new.
The resurrection is not just a beautiful ending to the story. It is the triumphant declaration that our only hope is alive.
What a gift it was to proclaim together the good news of Easter morning in such a beautiful setting — and to be reminded again that because He lives, sinners like us can be saved by grace.
He is risen indeed.
