Speaker: Pastor Carl Martin
Scripture: John 4:1–30

Pastor Carl takes us into one of the most familiar conversations in Scripture — Jesus and the woman at the well.

John tells us that Jesus “had to go through Samaria.”
A road most people avoided.
A conversation many would have skipped.
A moment that became an encounter of grace.

What looked like a detour was actually the deepest way through.

Pastor Carl reminded us that Jesus meets people in ordinary places and in the middle of ordinary moments — and yet nothing is ordinary once He is there.

At the well, Jesus did not shame the woman.
He did not avoid the truth either.
He lovingly revealed her thirst and offered something the world could never satisfy.

So often, we try to manage our emptiness with temporary things.
But Jesus comes offering living water — the kind that reaches deeper than surface needs and touches the soul. This story reminds us that surrender, not striving, is the path to freedom.

When we stop hiding and allow Jesus to meet us where we truly are, we discover that what we thought was our deepest need may actually be the very place where God wants to pour out His grace.
