March 15 - Pastor Ken Philbeck

Sermon Title: Living Hope
Scripture: 1 Peter 1:1–25
Speaker: Ken Philbeck

This Sunday, Ken Philbeck will lead us into the opening chapter of 1 Peter — a passage filled with hope, identity, and the steadying truth of who we are in Christ. Peter writes to believers who were scattered, pressured, and living in uncertainty, yet he begins with a reminder that their lives were still held securely in the hands of God.

In a world that often feels unstable, this passage points us to a hope that is living, lasting, and anchored in the resurrection of Jesus. We will be reminded that trials are not wasted. God uses them to refine our faith, deepen our trust, and draw our hearts toward what is eternal.

This chapter also calls us to remember who we are and how we are to live — as people set apart, shaped not by fear or the patterns of the world, but by the holiness and mercy of God. And at the center of it all is this beautiful truth: we have been born again through the living and enduring Word of God.

Join us this Sunday as we explore the living hope we have in Christ and the unshakable foundation we are given through His Word.
